A wooden chair with the name of ‘’Dell’’ made of ply wood and leather was sold for $26.48 at the New York Toy and Equipment Auction on April 19.The chair was auctioned by the International Center of Wood Art at Christie’s Auction House.

Dell, a registered trademark, has been a successful product for Dell, Inc., an American PC manufacturer, since 1999. The history of the chair goes back to the 1920s, when George W.Dell and Charles F. Dell, brothers, started building office chairs for themselves. In 1940, the Dell brothers founded their own business, which began manufacturing wood products under the trade name Dell.
